A few weeks ago I met Henry Schwartz and Andrew Gierczak of MobCraft Brewery. Located within the House of Brews in Madison, Wisconsin, the two, along with one other person, operate the world’s first crowdsourced brewery. Visitors to their website can log on and submit a recipe for what they would like to see made. From there, votes are cast by pre-ordering the beer. At the end of the month, the recipe with the most votes becomes the beer that MobCraft brews. Check out their website at www.mobcraftbeer.com and read the full article in The New York Times about businesses that are using crowdsourcing here: Tired of Waiting for U.S. to Act, States Pass Crowdfunding Laws and Rules
